Paxton's First Birthday!
As a newborn and baby photographer, I love watching and documenting little one grow and I get so excited when clients use me for multiple sessions. I had the privilege of photographing this little Birmingham, Michigan baby's maternity and first fall images (shown at the very bottom).
This little guy's mama is Koren and they have a beautiful tradition of having their One Year Photos taken in a traditional hanbok...I love that I got to capture this!
You would never guess from the smiles in these images, that our session day was actually a rough day for this little guy! His poor mom had no idea what was wrong but her happy, easy little guy was just having a rough day. However, even though I advertise these sessions as one hour sessions, I have a firm policy that I do not end a session unless I am happy I go what I need. A little patience really paid off here.
After photographing this baby outside in his hanbok, we headed to my studio for the indoor portion of his session, leading up to a cake smash! The cake here was made by the Grosse Pointe Park Baker, Sugar Rush (she can be found on facebook).
